Wait…are you all serious? You’re all seriously upset that a stray cat was found near the Occupy Wall Street protest grounds in Oakland? The same place where an Iraq war veteran was injured by police? You’re not offended by this picture instead? Not to mention that this is blatant bias being perpetrated by The Washington Post, which has been minimizing the protests for weeks and is interjecting an absolute assumption that this cat was left behind by protesters (unless, of course, it was a talking cat and it told Ben Margot of the Associated Press that yes indeed, he was abandoned by his owner who was protesting). The Washington Post dares to show this asinine photo that both vilifies the seemingly careless protesters while softening the image of the police force—the same police force that unjustly shot rubber bullets into a crowd and used teargas and flash-bang grenades unnecessarily? So many things wrong with this in terms of journalistic integrity (or lack thereof) and misplaced outrage by the public. 228 notes:
